Most people are happy to box up the linen, the books and the wardrobes themselves. What they do not want is an evening wrapping wine glasses and working out how to move a framed print. The fragile-only pack covers the kitchen, art, mirrors, TVs, lamps and ornaments, and leaves you the straightforward rooms.
On an hourly job, how well you are packed is the biggest single variable you control. Full, sealed, labelled cartons load roughly three times faster than loose items and half-filled boxes. If our crew packs you, the load is faster too — the two services pay for part of each other.
Book cartons are deliberately small and heavy-duty, because a large box of books cannot be safely lifted. Large cartons are for light and bulky goods — linen, cushions, lampshades. Getting that pairing backwards is the most common self-packing mistake we see, and it is what causes bases to fail mid-carry.
